Alunga Omolo is a highly successful Kenyan artist and illustrator based in Nairobi.

He graduated from the Nairobi Academy of Art in 1982. At this time he was also a rugby union international for Kenya and captain of Kenya Harlequins, but like Jean-Pierre Rives his sports career gave way to his work as an artist.

His career as an artist has included teaching, illustration, graphic design, and interior design as well the portraits and studies of people and life in Kenya which are now his trademark.

He has succesfully sold a stream of work in his highly recognisable style in hotels, high end boutiques and hotels in Kenya and his work is also in demand in the UK and US.
